A few years ago I wrote a letter talking about the internet, and how Firefox could have been a solution. Yes, could have been.
My political views have been changing from time to time, and now I find myself in a position where I appreciate more good things done along with nice words than only saying nice words. As of 2024, the Mozilla Foundation is a complete mess. DEI (No, I'm not a redditor, but I found this post useful), layoffs and lack of new features makes it, as far as I can see, an outdated browser. However, I must give it some good points: they have extensions built in for Android and its sync system is great.
Does this mean I'll change all of my programs? No. I'll still use K-9 Mail (but probably not for long). As for Firefox and Thunderbird, well, I might go back to Brave browser and give a try to Betterbird. In fact, this is the last post I'll make using Firefox on Windows. Does this also mean that I hate everyone who uses Firefox? No. Live and let live, as they say. Do whatever you want, and I'll respect your opinion, but I'm not going to support a foundation that brags over "better business structure", but doesn't try to attract more users and better compatibility. I've given up on Mozilla.
